For the fisrt time was Oswin just someone in Asylum. And when Jenna announced like new companion, it was just another choice of the same actor (just like Freema Agyeman, Karen Gillan or now also Peter Capaldi). In the end Clara became the impossible girl. Few months after the christmas special, we still didn't know who is she. Just repeating how much she is impossible. In the end, The name of the Doctor, we found out. Yes! The secret revealed.
On Comic Con 2013 Jenna said, that Clara would be still the impossible girl.
