The weeping angels...they are statues, but only when you are not looking. Noone know, where they come from. They are lonely assasins. They mostly kill by sending to the past, but sometimes they kill by broking neck.
Now from the other side. They are Steven Moffat's monsters. They are acted by normal people. They have a mask on their face and they have painted skin.
The Angels appeared in Blink (season 3, episode 10) for the first time. It was episode mostly without the Doctor. The Angels wanted the TARDIS for energy. Young girl, Sally Sparow...
...was saved by a message on the wall before attack from the Angels. The Doctor wrote the message.
Sally went into house again with her friend.
She noticed, that one angel moved.
Her friend was sent to the past. In the same moment, Sally got a letter, from her firend, who died today. She couldn't believe it. She stole the TARDIS key from the Angels and ran away.
She found the TARDIS and met a police man. The same day she saw him dieing in the hospital. He met the Doctor and Martha, who were sent to the past by the Angels. The Doctor helped Sally with video messages.
In the end, Sally sent the TARDIS to the Doctor and Angels ended watching themself, so they won't ever be able to move.
Don't blink, don't even blink, blink and you are dead. They are fast, faster then you can believe. Don't turn your back, don't look away and DON'T BLINK. (Message from the Doctor to Sally)
Second time. Time of Angels and Flesh and Stone (season 5, episodes 4 and 5). The Doctor is helping River Song from the starship, which has the Angels on it's board. The starship crashed and the angel escaped. Clerics came to help. They have a recorder of the Angel. Amy is closed with a tv and she's playing the recorder. Although it's just a recorder, the angel moved.
Amy looked to his eyes, thing, what she shouldn't do. She stopped the recorder, before it started again, so the angel dissaper. The Doctor, Amy, River and clerics went to the ship. For the first time, the Doctor thinks, that it was an accident and they had to find the Angel in a lot of statues.
Meanwhile the angel was killing clerics by breaking neck, because he needed their voices.
The Doctor discovered, that every statue is the weeping angel, so the crash of the ship, wasn't an accident it was a rescue operation for the angels. The Doctor and his friedns escaped to the control room of the ship and than to the forest. There is also the crack in time. The Angels think, that it's energy, which they can eat, but than the discovered, that it will kill them. When Amy looked to the angel's eyes, he went into her head.
She had to close her eyes. The Doctor, River and Father Octavian (cleric) went on and left Amy with few clerics. But they went into the crack, so Amy was alone. Meanwhile, one angel killed Father Octavian. Amy was walking through the forest, which is full of angels, with her eyes closed. She had to look like she see. But one angel noticed.
Before the Angel touched Amy, River teleported her to her and the Doctor. The crack is still open. The Doctor turned gravitacion, so all the angels, fell in and closed it.
Next time, the angels were in The God Complex like one of the nightmares in room. They weren't real.
And since now, the last time we could see the Angels in the last episode with Ponds, The Anegels Take Manhattan. The Angels had old New York. Every statue was the weeping angel.
